Welcome to the Algebra Support Tools Wiki.
About the Wiki
This wiki was created to give users access to a technology-based curriculum companion for the Parallel Alternative Strategies for Students (PASS) course on Algebra 1a. We have gone through the book and aligned technology tools with the various instructional areas. The purpose of these tools vary in use, from instructional in nature, to alternative means of completing the required work. There are a multitude of tools - simulations, manipulatives, interactive activities, alternative calculators, and much more. Some of these tools are located online, while others are meant to be downloaded or purchased.
Note: Not all of the portions of the booklet have tools available -- sometimes they are missing tools for either the Online or Offline/Local category, other times they are missing both. If no tools can be found for an entire topic, it is noted in the Table of Contents.
Navigating the Wiki:
You can access the Table of Contents and each individual
Unit using the navigation sidebar to the left of the page. The Table of Contents has been broken down into Unit > Lesson > Topic. You can link directly to a Unit, Lesson, or particular topic area. If you click on a
Lesson for a particular Unit, you will see all of the topics for that Lesson, and a PDF containing the pages of that lesson from the PASS Algebra 1a book. Some PDF's will have more than one lesson included in them, but that is rare.
If you notice a problem with any of these links or if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
UPDATE - 3/22/11 - The PASS materials are no longer available online via their website, however, you can still access the PDF's located in the LESSON areas, as mentioned above.
Thanks, and enjoy.
