Characteristics of Some Linear Graphs

Holt Learning Online: Online Graphing Calculator
An online Graphing Calculator, that can be used to graph up to four equations simultaneously. Standard graphing calculator buttons are available to allow for simple input of an equation, or the equation could be entered manually. A table is provided to find solution sets to a particular equation, or to demonstrate the effects that changes in the independent variable have upon the dependent variable. The graph can also be used to simply plot points on the coordinate plane.
Slope Slider
The Slope Slider a good tool to show instantaneous results to changing elements of an equation.
1. Display an equation
2. To solve the equation, begin substituting numbers for X, and see what the resulting y-coordinate was.
3. Adjust slope or other elements to understand the effect they have on the rest of the equation.
ExploreLearning: Defining a Line with Two Points
Use this Gizmo to test out slope identification skills. Drag points on the graph manually or use the sliders. Solve for the slope. Tools are available that will computer the slope (to check work) and show different forms of the equation for the line drawn.

Microsoft Math (Win)
Microsoft Math is a very versatile, all-in-one tool. It sports a 2D/3D graphing calculator for graphing equations and functions; a step-by-step math problem solver; a formula and equation library for quick access to commonly used equations and formulas; a triangle solver for exploring the multiple facets of triangles, such as sides and angles; a unit conversion tool; and handwriting support.
Grapher (Mac)
Grapher is located under UTILITIES in the Applications folder
Grapher is a 2-D and 3-D graphing program, located in the Utilities Folder, in Mac OS X. Simply type in an equation to see it graphed. You can graph multiple equations at one time.
