Shodor's Image Tool is a great applet for using real world scenarios or representations to make multiple types of measurements. Change the picture background to a clock to measure the angles of the clock hands, or to the North Carolina/South Carolina Map and measure distance from one city to the next. Very simple and lots of fun.
AmbleSide Online Protractor
The Ambleside Online Protractor is a fun, interactive tool used in exploring the measurement and estimation of angles. Teachers or Students can choose the activity they would like to participate in, such as making and measuring angles, showing a specific angle, measuring angles up to 90 or 180 degrees, and estimating the value of a particular angle, without the use of a protractor.
NLVM: Transformations (Rotation)
This manipulative allows users to create a custom shape pattern (or use the one provided) and then rotate it around a center point. Drag the black dot located on the line to rotate the object. Drag the black dot that appears at the center of the angle (it will appear when you hover over it) to change the Center of Rotation. The angle of the rotation is provided.
